The Monarchs Are Back!

A child is like a butterfly in the wind Some can fly higher than others, But each one flies the best it can. Why compare one against the other? Each one is different. Each one is special. Each one is beautiful.

There are tiny orange miracles in our own backyard. For the third year in a row, the monarchs are making a stopover for food and fuel on their migration to a warmer climate. Grandma found a cool website about Monarch migrations. You can check it out here: Journey North . You can also learn about fall and the changing seasons around us. These beauties are a sight to see...as you walk through the pine trees, they flutter around you and for those little butterfly chasers that love to run in Grandpa's garden...if you stand still long enough with some sugar water on your hand, maybe they will come to land on you. Kind of true for many things in life...if you quit chasing what you seek, it may come to find you! They don't stay long...most just rest a night or two...but it's worth the trip to see them. (And Gus loves company!)
