If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them.

Gus....the smartest little brown dog we know! This dog can tell time....he sits in front of the treat closet at 8 pm, patiently waiting for his "greenie". He sits, shakes and rolls over for his bedtime "trick biscuits" and knows if you have one hidden in your shirt pocket. He sings....loudly and off key...and especially loves the tune "when I"m calling you", sung by grand kids...or Grandpa...just as loud and off key. I still shake my head in disbelief, when I see him curled up, sound asleep on Grandpa's lap....for the man who didn't like pets....this little dog has become his best friend! Here's Gus...fresh from a run around the yard, snowflakes still clinging, with his nose buried in the snow drifts!
